In this project, which we took in 2015, architectural arrangement, facade design, interior design and structural and plant design were carried out in 8 different buildings and 7000 m² area in total.
The main part of the project consisted of the administrative building attached to their 22.000m² currently being used factory, and the administrative building designed and completed by another architectural office. These two buildings were regarded as if they were two rough constructions, and everything was redesigned and coordinated accordingly.

In this part, it was decided to use corten steel referring to the industrial structure of the complex. In particular, this material, which highlights the main facade of the bridge connecting the two buildings and the balcony recesses, and the black aluminum box profile struts serving as sunshades on the long west facade, were specified as the main elements of the facade formation. In the administrative building, an interpretation of the facade design of the main building has been applied to ensure linguistic unity between the two buildings.

For the interior architecture design, the colors and materials on the exterior (light gray equitone as the main facade covering) were used in all spaces without degeneration, especially starting from the ground floor and the 1st floor, where the guests were hosted. As a team, we think that every branch of design can be integrated into the architectural design process; therefore, we aimed to design, manage, or at least be involved in as many branches as possible not only for Alapala but also for all of our projects and to ensure the integrity in our buildings as a result of our efforts.
In the interior design, a dark color palette was used to satisfy the request of the employer. Only the earth color and its tones, which is reminiscent of corten, and sometimes white intervening, were used to add freshness and vitality. We integrated black aluminum box profiles, which are the hallmarks of the exterior, into the interior design in different forms and sizes. In the rooms of the co-heads, who are father and son, little changes were made in the moving furniture and lighting elements and materials in order to adjust to the age difference without breaking away from the preceding theme and color tones.

After completion of this part, three additional buildings were designed within the factory for the technical teams. In this part, corrugated equitone material, black steel elements, and tempered glass facade design with concealed lighting film application was designed to become a lightened echo of the main building's mission assertion.
In landscape design, corten was used in both sculpture and semi-architectural-semi-sculpture elements. Between two main entrances, a triangular reflection pool was used based on the plan, again by giving a nod to the facade. Because Alapala is a milling machine manufacturer, in the areas closest to the entrance, we preferred to use grass resembling wheat ear. Particularly in the surroundings of the main building and the administrative building, white and orange or tile tones were preferred even in the autumn leaf or flower colors of the plants. Used mostly evergreen plants, a design that is effortless to maintain and pleasing to the eye was aimed for the heavy winter times.
